Yin Yoga

Written by
The yin side of yoga is a way to pause life and sink deeply into relaxation and into our subtle mind. Holding grounding postures to gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues in our joints with the help of blocks and blankets. This is the perfect amount of rest your body needs after a busy week, or as an accompaniment to a more vigorous (yang) practice.

- Begin with a breathing exercise to center the mind and body.
- Lead into postures that work various parts of the body deepening into connective tissues (Postures are held generally 3 - 5 minutes each with a gentle transition)
-Long savasana about 10 min, generally with a guided meditation.
-Closing with breath/aum

Class may incorporate essential oils either diffusing or during savasana, or both. *Please inform instructor prior if you have a sensitivity to scented oils.

Tummy Time 4 week Series

Written by
Tummy Time Classes are a fun way to help your baby find comfort and support being on his or her tummy, and also a great opportunity to allow babies to interact with other babies their age, and from parents and caregivers to find community. Allowing time for babies to be on their tummies for play throughout the day is very important for their development during this crucial time of discovery. This class offers a chance to practice ways to be engaged with your baby in a meaningful and playful way, while they are awake and on their tummy.
Tummy time skills are the foundation of all sensory and motor skills throughout life. Instructor Andrea Byers is a craniosacral therapist who works with Adults, Children, Infants and Families in the pre and perinatal period, through out the Bay Area. She was trained by Michelle Emanuel as a TummyTime™Tutor and is looking forward to bringing these classes to the community
